Generosity Community Engagement & Development
Bringing people together. Building skills. Creating opportunities.
A strong community is built when people have opportunities to participate, learn, connect and contribute.
Generosity Community Engagement & Development is a community initiative of Generosity Foundation
Club designed to encourage meaningful participation in community life through educational activities, practical
workshops, group programs, cultural activities, recreational activities and community events.
Our aim is to create opportunities for people to come together, learn new skills, develop confidence, build
relationships and discover ways they can contribute positively to their community.
More Than an Event
Our activities are not simply organised for entertainment.
Each activity is designed to provide an opportunity for learning, participation, personal development,
teamwork, leadership or community connection.
Through practical activities and community programs, participants can learn how to plan, organise and work
together while developing skills that can be useful in their personal, social and community lives.
Our Activities
Community Workshops
Educational and practical sessions designed to develop knowledge, confidence and useful everyday skills.
Community Activities
Inclusive activities that encourage people of different ages and backgrounds to participate, connect and develop
positive relationships.
Leadership & Teamwork
Opportunities for participants and volunteers to learn how to organise activities, work as a team, take
responsibility and develop leadership skills.
Cultural & Community Programs
Activities that encourage cultural understanding, participation, respect and connection within Australia’s
diverse community.
Youth & Family Activities
Age-appropriate programs that encourage young people and families to participate, learn, develop confidence
and build positive connections.
Volunteer & Community Participation
Opportunities for people to contribute their time and skills, gain practical experience and become actively
involved in community initiatives.
Learning Through Participation
We believe that people can learn valuable skills by being involved.
A community activity can provide an opportunity to learn how to:
Plan. Organise. Communicate. Cooperate. Lead. Solve problems. Contribute.
Participants may have opportunities to take part in organising activities under appropriate supervision, helping
them develop practical experience and confidence.
Creating Opportunities for Everyone
Generosity aims to make community participation accessible and welcoming.
Our programs may bring together people from different ages, cultures, backgrounds and experiences, creating
opportunities for people to learn from one another and develop stronger connections within the community.
Where appropriate, activities may also be designed to support people who experience social isolation,
disadvantage or barriers to participation.
Our Philosophy
We believe that an engaged community is a stronger community.
When people have opportunities to participate, learn and contribute, they can develop confidence, discover
their abilities and build meaningful connections with others.
Our activities therefore focus on participation with purpose — using community programs and events as a
practical way to support education, personal development, social connection and community wellbeing.
Participate. Learn. Connect. Contribute.
Our Aim
To create accessible opportunities for people to participate in community life, develop knowledge and
practical skills, build positive relationships and contribute to a stronger, more connected and capable
community.
Generosity Community Engagement & Development is a community education and participation initiative.
Activities are designed to further the Foundation’s charitable purposes and may include workshops, community
programs, cultural activities, recreational activities and events. Specific activities will be developed according
to community needs, available resources, safeguarding requirements and applicable laws.
